Split

The grid on the left, its dual on the right — one γ, one view

The same pentagrid, drawn once, on two canvases. On the left, what de Bruijn starts from: lines, the regions between them, the crossings. On the right, what the dual map makes of it: vertices, edges, tiles. One model, one view, one γ: pan or zoom either side and the other is the same picture; the reticulum and its presets drive both. The G controls sit over the grid, the P controls over the tiling.

Drag to pan, scroll to zoom, on either side. Switch on a hover — hover over the grid controls, Penrose hover over the tiling ones — and pointing at a region, a gridline or a crossing on the left lights its vertex, edge or tile on the right, and the other way round, since the canvases are in register.
